This website is
to access the online research study "Perceived Stigma in Inflammatory
Bowel Disease: An exploratory study."
This survey is for my dissertation project as part of completing my doctorate in clinical health psychology. I am a 4th year student at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, specializing in the psychological well-being of people who have a chronic illness or condition. I have also had Crohn's Disease for 5 years. My hope is to be able to understand how attitudes and opinions about Inflammatory Bowel Disease relate to and possibly impact the quality of life and illness outcomes in people affected by IBD. The study should take you approximately 30 minutes to complete. The survey includes questions about you, your illness and how it affects your day to day activities, your concerns about having IBD, and some of the attitudes you may have experienced from others since being diagnosed. Most of the questions are required to ensure I have the most complete data possible to analyze. They are indicated by an asterisk (*) next to the question number. If you miss a required question, you will be prompted to complete it before you can move on to the next page. Please try to complete the survey all at the same time. If for some reason you need to leave the site before you are finished, you may come back to complete your responses. Once you submit your responses by clicking the "Done" button on the last page, you cannot go back and make any changes. If you have any questions about this study, please feel free to email me at thavlicek@thechicagoschool.edu |
